James Rowings

Attorney

Attorney James Rowings of Hinkle Law Firm practices criminal, family, mediation, landlord/tenant, wills, estates, and business law. In the family law area, he deals with divorce, custody, parenting time, child-support issues, and CHINS (Child in Need of Services) cases. He worked for the Indiana Department of Child Services as a county attorney from 2008 to 2011 and has served as a court-appointed Guardian ad Litem.


James is also a registered civil and domestic relations mediator and is willing to serve in a mediator capacity in all Indiana counties and in a variety of practice areas.


James served on the Hendricks County Election Board and as a member of the board of directors of the Masonic Scholarship Board and the Indiana Masonic Home in Franklin, IN.


James graduated from Van Buren High School in Clay County (1982), Indiana State University (B.S. 1987), and the Valparaiso University School of Law (J.D. 2006). He has also taught various classes at Ivy Tech Community College since 1992.


He was admitted to the Indiana Bar in 2007. He was also admitted to practice before the U.S. Federal District Courts in both the Southern and Northern Divisions of Indiana in 2007.
