Attorney James Rowings practices criminal, family, mediation, landlord/tenant and business law. In the family law arena, he deals with such matters as divorce, custody, parenting time and child support issues, as well as CHINS (Child in Need of Services) cases. He worked for the Indiana Department of Child Services as a county attorney from 2008 to 2011, and has also served as a court appointed Guardian ad Litem.
James is a member of the Hendricks County Bar Association. He also serves as member of the board of directors of the Indiana Masonic Home in Franklin, Indiana. He also teaches classes at Ivy Tech Community College.
James graduated from Van Buren High School in Clay County (1982), Indiana State University (B.S. 1987) and the Valparaiso University School of Law (J.D. 2006).
He is a Civil registered mediator and a Domestic Relations registered mediator. He was admitted to the Indiana Bar in 2007. He was also admitted to practice before the U.S. Federal District Courts in both the Southern and Northern Districts of Indiana in 2007.
